WP 6: Interventions in humans using validated computational models

The objectives of this work package are: 

WP6 will undertake interventions in humans that perturb  lipid, lipoprotein and glucose metabolism to  validate in depth computational model analysis of the transition to pathology in humans

• To prospectively validate the computational models from WP2 and study in vivo the newly described interactions between lipid, lipoprotein and glucose metabolism by the model

• To use data from different human interventional studies (short term / long term) utilizing stable isotopes and MR-spectoscopy to quantitate lipoprotein and glucose metabolism/fluxes in MetS patients to modulate validate and verify the performance of the computational models.

• Generation of information from interventional studies to tailor the human model to predict the transition from normal physiology to the unhealthy phenotype in MetS patients.
