WP 2: Computational modelling of the pathophysiological processes underlying Metabolic Syndrome

The objectives of this work package are:

• Generation of extended and validated computational models of glucose and lipoprotein metabolism in mice (main interactions with WP3 and WP4). One model will focus on short-term kinetics in response to acute interventions; a second model will describe the long-term progression in response to chronic interventions.

• Humanization of the models to ultimately identify targets for pharmaceutical treatment of patients with MetS and its comorbidities (main interactions with WP5 and WP6)
